I create things. Right now I create software. I like the ambiguity at the start, finding what the real problem is, then building the solution to that.

I built Sails.app so an AI assistant has a drive it can build on. It can keep files, send email, put a website up, and run jobs, and the team works in the same workspace.

I'm at Vannevar now, where I take products from the first messy question through shipping, and then through the versions after that. Before that I was CTO at LeaderFactor, where we built leadership training used by Fortune 500 companies.

Earlier I led frontend engineering at Stukent, and frontend engineering and mobile engineering at Skipio. Same job every time: figure out what to build, then go build it, usually with a small team.
